nextE operates as an independent power producer (IPP) and is part of Connect44 Group, a Swiss technology and services company founded in 2000 with activities in Switzerland, UK, Germany, France, Romania, Denmark, Austria and Spain .

Through the Energy as a Service (EaaS) approach, renewable energy technology and production converge to provide all market participants with a sustainable supply of energy at predictable costs.

Customers of nextE, both industrial and commercial, now have access to renewable energy from solar photovoltaic generation capacity at no cost, with no performance or operational hazards, on-site and off-site, and with unique contractual arrangements over the long term. This involves the production of electricity in a photovoltaic plant built, financed, owned and used by nextE at the customer’s consumption locations or at locations external to the customer’s consumption locations.

At the same time, through the EPC and Asset Management divisions, nextE promises complete services, from infrastructure to technical and commercial exploitation. nextE’s clients in this case are both companies that invest in energy infrastructure for self-consumption, as well as other renewable energy producers who want to obtain maximum benefits from their investment, through a long-term partnership with nextE.

“In our world, we see energy as a personalized service. Our unique Energy as a Service (EaaS) products provide access to renewable energy from solar PV generation capacities with zero investment cost, without performance risks and operational risks, on-site and off-site, with innovative contract structures of up to 25 years”, said Daniel Husaru, Co-Founder & Co-CEO of nextE. He has worked in the telecommunications industry for almost ten years, earning experience in engineering, telecommunications service management, project management, and new business line development. Daniel is a co-founder of nextE and currently coordinates the Energy Markets department.

The electricity production generated by nextE is delivered to the final customer, providing companies with benefits such as:

  • energy independence
  • long term stability
  • reducing the cost of electricity
  • reducing the CO2 footprint

The management team of the company is completed by Octavian Ciucă. Co-Founder & Co-CEO Energy Infrastructure of nextE, Octavian Ciucă has over 14 years of experience in the energy sector and has successfully coordinated the implementation of approximately 100 energy production projects with an investment value of over 20 million euros, both within entrepreneurial businesses and within corporations in energy, where he laid the foundations of a new product portfolio for industrial customers.

For 2023, nextE aims to commission 22.3 MWp and a portfolio of 64.3 MWp under implementation. With over 20 direct employees and around 100 collaborators, the company recorded in 2022 revenues of over 8 million lei and made capital investments from its own sources of over 20 million lei. In 2024, nextE aims to commission 95.6 MWp and increase the portfolio of projects under implementation to 100 MWp.
