Distribuție Oltenia: New investments of 2.4 mln. lei in Gorj county

Distribuție Oltenia operator continues to implement its investment and modernization plan for the electrical distribution network in Gorj County. DEO has completed new works to switch low-voltage to medium-voltage networks and improve the degree of continuity in the electricity supply to consumers, worth over 2.4 million lei.

The beneficiaries of the modernization projects are 2,641 consumers from the Municipality of Motru and 1,137 consumers from the city of Târgu Carbunești.

Through the investments, the transition of the low-voltage to medium-voltage networks, from the Micro 2 area, which supplies the streets of Arțarului, Macului and Aleile Frasinului, Magnoliilor and Gladiolelor in the Municipality of Motru, and the improvement of the degree of continuity in the electricity supply of LEA 20 kV Cărbunești – IAS and LEA 20 kV Cărbunești 3, which supplies a number of 11 transformer stations and the treatment plant in Târgu Cărbunești.

The benefits for consumers in the areas targeted by the modernization works consist in reducing technical energy losses, ensuring the continuity of electricity supply to all consumers under quality conditions of electricity parameters and reducing the number of interruptions and their duration.

The Distribution Operator Oltenia will continue investments in the distribution network this year, for which it has allocated a budget of over 30.7 million lei in investment expenses (CAPEX) and over 28.6 million lei in commissioning (PIF).

Until the end of June, the operator Distribuție Oltenia plans to complete some investment works worth over 8.7 million lei in the area of the towns of Târgu Jiu, Godinești, Magherești, Târgu Cărbunești and Covrigi.

In addition, until the end of August, the operator will invest over 1.6 million lei in the modernization of overhead power lines in its entire operational area, by installing remote-controlled equipment.
