New subsidies to cover the costs of thermal energy of cities

On Monday, the Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Cseke Attila, approved the distribution to the local budgets of some administrative-territorial units of the 12th tranche, amounting to 4,653,324.88 lei, from the compensation subsidy of the costs related to the acquisition of natural gas necessary for the production of thermal energy in a centralized system for the cold season 2021-2022, according to Agerpres.

The amount is related to the subsidy for natural gas consumption from January 2022 and is distributed to Bucharest, respectively March 2022 for Ploieşti and Tulcea, it is shown in a press release of MDLPA.

In addition, in order to support the local public administration authorities in ensuring the continuity of the public service of thermal energy supply in a centralized system, the amount of 5,358,362.90 lei was allocated. The funds are related to the consumption from January 2022 and are destined to the municipality of Tulcea, respectively from February 2022, for Oradea, Sânmartin and Tulcea.

“So far, out of the 400 million lei allocated for this purpose, by the State Budget Law for 2022, 340,496,838.65 lei have been used, both in the form of a subsidy for the purchase of natural gas and fuel oil, and for ensuring the continuity of the public service of centralized thermal energy supply of the population,” said the minister Cseke Attila.
