Jantzen Renewables is preparing to submit to a municipality the necessary documentation for the approval of a 700 MW renewable energy project, said Razvan Popa, Partner, Head of Transactions in the company, at the conference “2024: A defining year for the renewable energy sector in Romania”.

He added that three members of the city hall staff would need to sign off on this documentation, which is a challenge with Romania’s system for endorsing such projects.

In fact, the lack of specialised staff is one of the reasons for the delays faced by some green energy projects.

On the other hand, Jantzen Renewables is interested in the hydrogen industry, which is “fundamental”.

“I believe very much in the future of hydrogen. For us, hydrogen is part of the future and is fundamental for us in the next phase,” Popa said.
