MIPE send for public consultation the project regarding the organization of the coordination and monitoring committees of PNRR

The Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE) sent for the public consultation the draft Government Decision on the organization and functioning of the Interministerial Committee for the Coordination of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, as well as the organization and functioning of the PNRR Monitoring Committee.

The Chairman of the Steering Committee is the Head of Government, and the Vice-Chairman will be the Minister of Investment and European Projects. The committee also includes the Minister of Finance and the ministers/leaders of the institutions with the role of reform and/or investment coordinator from PNRR, according to Agerpres.

According to the document, any member of the Steering Committee may submit for approval to its chair the proposal to participate in certain meetings, depending on the topic of discussion, in an advisory role, specialists in the field within ministries or government organizations.

The meetings of the Steering Committee may be attended by guests, senators and Members of Parliament, the chairpersons of the European Affairs Committees of the Parliament as well as representatives of local and county public authorities, in accordance with the topics to be debated.

Regarding the PNRR Monitoring Committee, its chair will be the Minister of European Investments and Projects.

The Monitoring Committee is composed of representatives of non-governmental organizations, trade unions, employers, associations of local public administration, respectively: National Union of County Councils in Romania, Association of Romanian Municipalities, Association of Romanian Cities and Association of Romanian Communes, but also representatives of other associative forms of general interest, constituted according to the law.
