Ministry of Energy: Financing program for ensuring energy efficiency in industry was launched

Investments from European funds in the national energy system continue with a new financing program, worth 62 million euros, namely investment 5 of the PNRR regarding ensuring energy efficiency in the industrial sector, informs the Ministry of Energy.

“Financing call no. 3 was opened, for the January 2024 session, within Investment Measure I.5 of Component C.6 Energy of PNRR. We continue at an accelerated pace the investments from European funds in the national energy system with a new financing program worth 62 million euros: Investment 5 of the PNRR: Ensuring energy efficiency in the industrial sector. The competition has already started,” the ministry announced on its Facebook page.

Within the call, micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as large Romanian enterprises can apply for the financing of specific equipment in the industry (production lines, transformers, air compressors, pumps, installations/equipment/ventilation systems, heating/cooling systems, integrated energy consumption management systems and others).

The main objective of the call is to achieve a minimum of 30 energy efficiency projects in industry, with a 30% reduction in direct and indirect emissions.

The deadline for submitting projects is March 29, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Applicants rejected in the first two calls can reapply for funding.
