The Minister of Energy, Sebastian Burduja, launched on Saturday the “Houses with Heat” campaign, within the Partnership for Combating Energy Poverty.

According to a press release, the representatives of the Ministry of Energy and the Intelligent Energy Association have prepared in Valea Doftana the first packages of firewood that will be given to needy families who heat themselves with firewood.

“We started in time to collect wood so that we can offer it to the families who need this help this winter. You would be surprised that even in Bucharest there are houses that do not have gas and there are people who can stay in the cold in the winter because firewood has become very expensive. Together with the Intelligent Energy Association and with the support of the Red Cross, we found this solution with the support of volunteers from the ministry, but not only, to help us collect firewood from marked trees, which anyway had to cut for the recovery of the forest. It is important to bring warmth this winter to the homes and souls of all Romanians who really need it,” said Minister Sebastian Burduja.

The wood collection campaign takes place in the village of Teşila, Valea Doftanei, using only marked, degraded trees that must be cut down.

The “Heated Houses” project is carried out within the Partnership for Combating Energy Poverty between the Ministry of Energy and the Intelligent Energy Association.
