ME to launch law projects to accelerate Hidroelectrica investments

The Ministry of Energy will initiate, in the next period, several projects of normative acts aimed at accelerating the investment projects of Hidroelectrica, according to a press release.

The responsible minister, Sebastian Burduja, participated in a working meeting at the company’s headquarters, an event attended by the general director of Hidroelectrica, Borbely Karoly, the company’s development director, Bogdan Badea, and the state secretary responsible for projects of investments of Hidroelectrica, Marius Negru.

During Tuesday’s meeting, the main directions and the future of Romania’s key hydropower projects were discussed and the emphasis was placed on the acceleration of major projects, including the Curtisoara HPP, the Paşcani Hydropower Development on the Siret River, the Bumbeşti-Jiu Development and the Răstolița Hydropower Development.

“Our hydropower projects are not only investments in infrastructure, but also in the safe and sustainable future of the country. Hidroelectrica is more than a successful company, the best performing listing of the last year at the global level; it is a symbol of innovation and commitment ours for a green future. We firmly set a priority: investments, investments, investments,” said the Minister of Energy.

In addition, Burduja defined a series of objectives to increase the investment portfolio of Hidroelectrica in the field of renewable energy, reaffirming the total and unconditional support for the development of this state company.

According to the quoted press release, special emphasis will be placed on innovation and multiple sources of renewable energy, which will ensure long-term efficiency and sustainability.
