Increased interest in energy-efficient, state-subsidized appliances

More than 33,000 vouchers were issued to approved applicants in the first stage of the “Household Scrap” program, in the first hour since the beginning of this year’s session, informs the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests (MMAP), on its own Facebook page.

Also, according to the relevant ministry, half of the budget of 30 million lei, allocated to the first stage of the program, was consumed, and the value of the remaining funds is of 15 million lei.

“More than 33,000 vouchers were issued in the first hour of the program (starting at 10:00). Half of the Stage 1 budget was consumed; the remaining funds – 15 million lei,” MMAP said, according to Agerpres.

The data presented on Thursday by the Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests, Barna Tanczos, in a press conference organized during a visit to Constanţa County, show that over 155,000 people have signed up for the “Scrap for Home Appliances” Program .

“There are over 155,000 people who have signed up for “Scrap for home appliances.” Until today (Thursday), at 24:00, these registrations can be made and I invite potential beneficiaries to use this day. On Friday, we start with the first batch of household appliances to which vouchers for washing machines, dishwashers and refrigerators are allocated. We will be able to allocate over 70,000 vouchers for the three categories. There is a budget of 30 million (lei) for this first stage and we invite the beneficiaries to reserve their vouchers starting tomorrow (Friday, May 21, 2021),” said the minister.

The program “Scrap for appliances” – the 2021 session began on May 14, with the registration period for individuals for one week.
