The uninterrupted supply of consumers with electricity is the central objective of Transelectrica, said some of the company’s representatives at a meeting that they had in London with potential investors in the Romanian economy.

Made in the context of European commitments assumed by Romania in terms of energy supply, the safety concept was operationalized by Transelectrica officials in the increasing border interconnectivity, integration of renewable electricity and retrofitting the existing installations in the electricity transmission network in Romania.

An example of investment is upgrading the internal transport capacity of all overdue power stations in the next decade. Such investments will decrease the frequency and the duration of interruptions in the supply and cost of operation, maintenance and own technological consumption will decrease significantly.

Transelectrica officials have referred to the minor preventative maintenance program conducted last year, which was fully conducted, but with savings of 10% over the original estimated budget.
