German ecological car owners receive tax breaks, reservation of parking spaces for loading, free parking, permission to use bus lanes and special registration plates, informs the DPA news agency, quoted by Agerpres. The law promoting these measures will be valid until 2030.

The benefits shall be applied to cars on batteries, the hybrid gasoline engines, and to those that use hydrogen as a propellant. Transport Minister Alexander Dobrindt hopes the special plates will increase public awareness of electric cars in Germany against this type of vehicle, given that sales volume is a result of government objectives, writes Agerpres.

Dozens of pure electric vehicle models or hybrid are available in Germany, but in their acquisition start was slow. Critics say electric cars are too expensive to be bought and deplore the fact that the offer contains a limited range of models. By 2020, the government in Berlin would like to see on the roads of Germany about one million electric cars.
