The state companies have had appointments based on the recommendations of the Energy ministry officials, accuses former energy Privatizations chief, Gabriel Dumitraşcu, who recently resigned from the position of Chairman of RADET’s Board.

“We are seeing a degradation that comes from the top of the Energy ministry,” says Dumitraşcu, accusing the hiring of “sinecurists” in state companies. Dumitraşcu made the comments during the conference “Energia în priză”, organized by Bursa newspaper.

“I saw CVs modified to fit the requirements, and the ministry does not take a stand. Most employment was made at the ministry’s recommendation lately, so it is not the politics that parasites state companies,” said Dumitraşcu.

He is campaigning for the shift of state companies ownership into a national management fund under parliamentary control. Dumitraşcu accused also that in certain state companies such as Electrica reîcenput subcontracările through direct delegation, which had been banned before privatization.

“Why did it get here? Because since (the former Energy minister) Nicolescu’s departure, the Energy Ministry did not have any leadership,” said Dumitraşcu.
