The career event you have become accustomed to year after year returns to its original form: Forum — Career in the energy industry. This year, the event is under the aegis of the Association of Energy Engineers and Electricians — AIEE, which, in partnership with the Faculty of Energy at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, aims to organise a career event dedicated to young people in the energy field to ensure the transition environment to the pre-pandemic situation.

Forum — Career in the energy industry, which will take place between 9-14 May 2022 at Politehnica University of Bucharest, aims to be a tool for young people eager to take the first steps in the energy field, as well as a market for selling large companies active in energy.

Big players from Romanian energy come to meet young students and graduates with company presentations, internship programs, internships, workshops, technical visits and employment opportunities. This event is dedicated to young people who are looking for information on energy development options, in the short, medium and long term, as well as for those who want to be up to date with the new trends and technologies in the industry.

In the opening of the event, they confirmed the participation, as speakers leading representatives from industry and academia: Mihnea Costoiu — Rector Politehnica University of Bucharest, Horia Necula — Prorector Politehnica University of Bucharest, Diana Robescu — Dean of the Faculty of Energy, Petru Ruşets — General Manager Siemens Energy, Teodor Chirica — Chairman of the Nuclearelectrica Board of Administration, Gina Cruceru — Group HR Director Rompetrol.

Multinationals and Romanian companies, technology companies, equipment manufacturers and solution developers, energy producers and promoters of new energy solutions and trends confirmed their presence and will hold presentations at the event on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

For a better interaction between students-teachers-companies, the organisers prepare a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages young people and allows teachers to take advantage of networking breaks. In addition, 11 companies will have presentation stands at the event, in order to be as close as possible to young people interested in the opportunities of employment and development in the market.

Another important element of the event is the workshops. Young people can also approach the representatives of companies in the development workshops, both technical and personal, which will be held on Thursday. The companies that will hold such workshops are Siemens Energy, Rompetrol, Nuclearelectrica and Transelectrica.

The first days of the event, namely the presentations of the faculty, the official opening, the company presentations will take place at the Central Library of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, and the workshops will be held in the most spectacular laboratory within the Faculty of Energy — the Laboratory of High Tension Techniques.

The last days of the event are dedicated to technical visits to various energy objectives, which aim to end the career event in the most appropriate way: young people ready to start a career in energy make contact with the professional environment.
