The Italian utilities group Enel announced that the number of residential customers who have chosen offerings from Enel Energie and the Enel Energie Muntenia on the competitive electricity market, has doubled compared to November last year, according to a company release for energynomics.ro.

“Enel reached the level of 200.000 residential customers as a result of the customer orientated approach and through its efforts to upgrade and digitalize the services and its interaction with clients, in order to give them a simplified experience in their relationship with the supplier” explained the company representatives.

“This achievement is a confirmation that Enel is distinguished in the market by placing innovation and customers at the center of its concerns. By means of offers tailored to the needs of our customers and by digitalizing the main ways of interacting with them, we brought the innovation closer to the consumers, making their life easier”, said Michele Grassi, CEO Enel Energie and Enel Energie Muntenia.

According to the utilities company representatives, the digitalization is the main key element of the Enel strategy.

“Enel is one of the first utility companies to launch the electronic invoice on the Romanian market, a mobile application for customer support and a self-service portal. The company has made great strides in the digital transformation and communication across multiple channels, with the assumed objective to have a much better communcaton with its customers, in order to better meet their needs and bring them added value through the provided services”, it is shown in the press release.

According to Enel, in February 2017 the company launched a new campaign to promote a new service – the Enel Fix Online subscription, in order to meet the present needs of the consumers, who want to have a simple interaction with the energy supplier, by reducing the time for these activities. Thus, customers can conclude this subscription at any time, in any area in Romania, and can perform all the operations online, starting from signing of the agreement and ending with paying the invoice.

In Romania, Enel owns 64,4% of Enel Distributie Muntenia and Enel Energie Muntenia, 51% in Enel Distributie Banat, Enel Distributie Dobrogea and Enel Energie and 100% of the shares in Enel Romania.
