Enel appoints new managers for the Regulation and Business Services departments

Enel Romania has appointed Claudia Brânduş as Head of Regulatory Affairs. Also, Cosmin Trofin, who coordinated the Regulatory Affairs activities until now, is taking the lead of the Business Department.

As director of regulations, Claudia Brânduş will coordinate a team of 15 people, whose main objective is to identify, represent and promote the company’s position on regulatory and antitrust issues. Also, she will be responsible for identifying the trends in regulation, with the purpose of assessing the economic and financial impact of the regulations on the local lines of business, and the management of the regulatory and antitrust issues and the procedures to the relevant stakeholders, the ensuring and monitoring the compliance of the local business lines and defining the optimal strategy locally.

Claudia Brânduş joined Enel in 2007 as a lawyer for new projects in Romania, becoming chief legal officer of Enel Green Power Romania in 2009, when Enel Green Power was established as an entity dedicated to the development of renewable assets operations within Enel Group. Later in 2012, she took over leadership of the regulatory activities for Europe and new entry countries in Enel Green Power portfolio, gaining significant experience in energy markets around the world. Brânduş graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest and continued her education through international courses such as “Leadership for Management Program” at Bocconi, Milan, IESE Business School in Barcelona, “European Union Law” at King’s College London, Green Academy: Green Power Mini MBA in London.

Cosmin Trofin has over six years of experience within the Enel Romania companies group, being previously the coordinator of the Acquisitions department, and afterwards of the Regulatory department. As Business Services Director, he will be responsible for the general services and facilities management services, as well as maximizing the value of the portfolio of the imoveable assets at the country level. Before joining Enel, Cosmin Trofin has acquired extensive experience in acquisitions in other multinational companies in the energy and food sector. Trofin holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest – Faculty of Mechanics.
