Electrica announced the reduction of electricity distribution tariffs starting January 16, by 1.7 or 1.8%, according to a company report.

Thus, for Electrica Muntenia Nord the distribution rates decreased by 1.7%, and for Transilvania Nord and Transilvania Sud, by 1.8%.

The tariff modification takes place on the basis of “the approval of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 1/2020 by which the contribution to ANRE is reduced from 2% to 0.2% of the turnover,” by eliminating the provisions of GEO 114/2018 and GEO 19/2019.

Electrica also specifies that the regulated electricity tariffs applied to domestic customers by the supplier of the last resort of the Electrica Group – Electrica Furnizare S.A. – did not suffer modifications, remaining at the level approved by ANRE Order no. 241/2019.
