E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania, a developer of electric mobility infrastructure, announces the achievement of a new important milestone: the installation of the 500th charging point in its national network, extended to 39 counties.
“This threshold is not just a number — it is the result of a solid investment strategy, sustainable partnerships and the accelerated growth of the electric vehicle user community in Romania. We thank our customers for their trust and for choosing E.ON Drive solutions every day. We continue to expand the network to make it even more accessible and predictable,” said Adrian Rotăraș, General Manager, E.ON Drive Infrastructure Romania.
The anniversary station was installed in Sibiu, within the Zacaria Retail Center, consolidating the company’s presence in one of the most dynamic commercial areas in the region and contributing to the expansion of the infrastructure dedicated to electric vehicle drivers.
In 2025, the E.ON Drive Romania network provided over 2 million kWh of energy for electric vehicles, in over 110,000 charging sessions, an amount approximately double compared to the previous year.
The company also inaugurated the largest charging hub in Romania, located in the VIVO! Pitești parking lot, which includes 50 charging points with varying powers, from fast to ultra-fast points — all equipped for direct payment with a bank card.

For 2026, E.ON Drive is focusing its development on the installation of ultra-fast charging stations, designed to significantly reduce charging times, as well as on the creation of hubs with multiple charging points in the same location, to eliminate waiting times and increase availability even during peak periods. Through these initiatives, the company supports the acceleration of the transition to electric mobility and responds to the growing demand for reliable, fast and accessible public infrastructure.
