The Competition Council issued a non-objection decision regarding the association between the companies E.ON Romania and Adrem Invest on the acquisition of joint control over the company E.ON Instalații interioare, owned by German group E.ON.

“The Decision is issued regarding the economic concentration that will be achieved through the acquisition of joint control by E.ON Romania and Adrem Invest of Instalaţii Interioare, observing that although the notified operation falls within the law competition, there are no serious doubts about its compatibility with a normal competitive environment,” the decision of the Competition Council stated.

E.ON Instalaţii Interioare main activity will be revisions and periodic technical inspections of gas installations, according to a press release of the Competition Council. E.ON Romania announced on April 8 that it signed in March a partnership with Adrem Invest to create a joint venture in the revisions, inspections of gas installations and gas meter reading.

E.ON Romania is part of the German utility E.ON, and is active in natural gas and electricity sectors. Adrem Invest, member of the Adrem controlled Romanian businessmen, specializes in industrial engineering. Adrem Invest is involved in the production of electricity.
