Competition Council authorized the transaction through which Romgaz intends to take over the assets of Azomureș, the institution announced.

The transaction aims to take over the assets used in the production of chemical fertilizers and industrial products of Azomureș S.A., as well as the contracts and employees necessary for the activity taken over. Romgaz took over the Azomureș platform for the amount of 69 million euros, of which just over 46 million euros represent the value of the plant, up to 10 million euros represent raw materials and consumables stocks, and a maximum of 13 million euros represent the costs necessary to keep the plant in operation and pay employees in the next two months, until the effective takeover.

The information published on the Digi24.ro website can be taken over, in accordance with applicable legislation, only within a limit of 120 characters.

In its analysis of the transaction, the competition authority also took into account the elements presented by Romgaz regarding the way in which the acquired activity will be organized and carried out, so that it operates under market conditions, in compliance with competition and state aid legislation.
