Distributie Oltenia announced new investments, worth over 2 million lei in two new, spare dispatch centers. They will complete the scheme of digital projects that improve the experience of energy consumers in Oltenia and partially Muntenia (Argeș and Teleorman), with a direct impact in reducing the average time to fix incidents and disturbances, the company claims.

In addition, by the end of the year, Distributie Oltenia will implement new technology for some of its dispatchers’ workstations, but also in the voice telecommunication solution used in managing network events and managing disruptions to field operations teams. This investment is closely connected with the continuous development of the SCADA system and with the implementation of the ADMS strategic project (76 million lei) which promises an intelligent distribution network.

The dispatching activity ensures the security and continuity of the consumers’ electricity supply. Practically, all the requests for intervention in case of deficiencies in the electricity network are registered in the dispatching offices and the operational teams are also coordinated from here.

In the case of Distributie Energie Oltenia, the dispatching activity is carried out in 2 central dispatching points, located in Craiova and Pitești, to which 3 reserve locations will be added.

The mission to bring electricity to consumers’ homes is provided by a team of 65 dispatchers who work 24/7 shifts.
