The Apprentice Electrician project brings together an increasingly diverse community in 2023, whereas new supporters of performance in the field are joining. Thus, the new partners include ALM Power Group, Comranado and Elco Târgu Jiu. Also, ADREM and EnergoBit, partners co-opted into the program since 2022, remain with Distribuție Oltenia, within the program.

The almost 300 students enrolled in the Apprentice Electrician project will benefit, this year, from practical activities, contests, monthly challenges and many surprises through the collaboration with the Progress Foundation, supported by partners.

“The lack of labor in the energy field, the low orientation of young people towards a practical job and the desire of economic agents to collaborate with experienced people led us to take the Apprentice Electrician project to a new level. Together with the new partners in the program – ALM Power Group, Comranado and Elco Târgu Jiu -, but also with the traditional partners from ADREM and EnergoBit, we want to ensure the future in this field and support performance,” say company officials.

“Our mission remains that of preparing future professionals in the field by providing all the elements necessary to develop for a successful career. We set out to strengthen a sustainable community, expanded annually by collaborating with reliable partners who want to support performance in the field. We are happy to further grow this project with new important supporters, ready to contribute experience, resources and added value for the future of the young Apprentices,” says Eugen Butoarcă, CEO of Oltenia Distribution.

“In the more than 30 years of experience in the energy field, Comranado has had as its permanent objective the development and evolution of capabilities, in a constantly changing world.

Through the partnership with Distributie Energie Oltenia, today’s young people will have new opportunities for development. We support their professional training as electricians in a team that aims high, and the partnership is perfectly complementary to Comranado’s future goals, thus ensuring the certainty of achieving these prospects,” adds Petre Combei, General Manager, Comranado.

“We are always open to initiatives that support the community and we try to contribute as best we can, through the resources we have. We are happy to be part of the Apprentice Electrician program in which we train the future specialists that our country needs so much”, says Gheorghe Popescu, General Manager of Elco Tg. Jiu.

“We have been with Distribuție Oltenia whenever we have the opportunity, for 10 years. The Apprentice Electrician program is one that fits us like a glove. We support education and we like to be with young people in our work. We are sure that together with the specialists of Oltenia Distribution and the other colleagues co-opted in the program, we will be able to leave this field in the best hands,” adds Sabin Marinescu, Director of ALM Power Group.

At the same time, Camelia Crișan, President of the Board of Directors of the Progress Foundation, says that this is the third year in which the Foundation collaborates with Distribuție Oltenia, carrying out activities for the benefit of future electricians in Romania.

“Thanks to these activities, complementary to the formal educational course, new generations of young people are trained and strengthen their theoretical and practical skills for a career in the energy field,” says Camelia Crișan.
