Bosch announces the appointment of Dan Lăzărescu as General Manager of Robert Bosch S.R.L. and Group representative in Romania, starting October 1, 2025. He takes over this role from Mihai Boldijar, who led the Bosch Group’s activities in Romania for the last 10 years and is retiring after 30 years with the company.
An engineer with over 24 years of experience at national and international level, Dan Lăzărescu is a graduate of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, with a doctorate from the same institution, and began his professional career with Bosch in 2001, in Stuttgart. After a long period spent with Bosch abroad, occupying various key positions in the field of software and hardware engineering, Dan Lăzărescu made the decision to return to Romania.
Mihai Boldijar has held the positions of Vice President and General Manager of Robert Bosch SRL, as well as Bosch Group representative in Romania, since 2014. He has also held the position of President of PAR (Romanian Automotive Partnership) since 2020, and, starting with 2023, has been part of the Board of Directors of ACAROM (Romanian Automobile Manufacturers Association). Between 2014 and 2020, he held the position of Vice President of the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK). A consummate professional, with international expertise in the automotive industry and extensive knowledge in business management, Mihai Boldijar has significantly contributed to consolidating the company’s position in the country and the region.
“Taking on the role of CEO of Robert Bosch SRL and representative of the Bosch Group in Romania is, for me, a great honor and a responsibility that I assume with confidence. I trained and grew as a professional and as a person within Bosch, I went through all the stages and gained experience at the international and local levels. Even though we are going through a moment of major transformation, both at the industry level and within Bosch, I have learned that you can turn challenges into opportunities for growth and this is one of my major goals. For the future, I want us to continue to have a clear direction and stability in order to remain competitive,” said Dan Lăzărescu.

Dan Lăzărescu has over 24 years of professional experience in engineering, of which over 18 years at an international level, in Germany and Hungary, accumulated in important automotive projects for the markets in Europe, North America, Japan or China. Throughout his career, he has coordinated complex teams of over 500 people, demonstrating strong transformational leadership skills and a constant orientation towards innovation and performance. Within the Bosch Group, he held important positions in Stuttgart, Budapest and Cluj-Napoca, within the Bosch Engineering Center in Cluj, with responsibilities such as developing control units for passenger cars or coordinating the hardware divisions and assisted driving solutions for the global market. Holding a PhD in digital signal processing for automotive applications, Dan Lăzărescu is a recognized professional in the industry and a successful example of the Bosch organizational culture, which has always focused on developing human resources and providing opportunities for professional growth.
