The Jiu Valley region must maintain its status as an energy zone, says USR deputy Cristina Pruna. In this respect, she appreciates that some rays of hope begin to appear in this direction, following the announcement made by several “clean” energy companies to develop renewable energy production and invest in the Valley Jiu, according to the Exclusiv Newspaper.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the announcement of the renewable companies that want to invest in the miners’ conversion. I think it is the first 100% private viable solution that can absorb some of the mining workforce. There is potential for many other initiatives of this kind to emerge, but there is a need for a vision for the state to create the framework for them to happen: infrastructure linking the main road and rail road and tax facilities, where appropriate. The area can still be an energy producer, adapted to the requirements of energy transition,” said Deputy Cristina Pruna at a press conference.
