The National Research-Development and Testing Institute for Electrotechnics – ICMET Craiova, together with the University of Craiova, is organizing two major scientific events between 14-18 December 2025: the International Conference on Hydrogen Production – ICH2P 2025 and the International Symposium on Energy, Energy and Environment – IEEES 2025, both now in their 16th edition.
The two events bring together international academic and professional communities with the objective of showcasing the latest research and technological applications in the fields of hydrogen energy, exergy and environmental sustainability. Their joint organization underlines the close links between the two fields and emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.
ICH2P 2025 is dedicated to research and technologies for the production of hydrogen by various methods – thermal, chemical, biological – and its use in modern systems, including fuel cells. IEEES 2025 has established itself over the years as a benchmark in the exchange of ideas on energy efficiency, resource optimization and environmental impact, attracting participants from all over the world.
Research papers can be submitted until September 30, 2025 through the official event page.
The evaluation will be carried out by an international advisory committee of 29 experts from Turkey, USA, UK, Canada, France, Denmark, Finland, France, Denmark, Finland and other countries, as well as a scientific committee of 39 researchers and professors from Romania. The selection results will be announced on October 10 and the accepted papers will be included in a book of abstracts with ISBN. The most valuable contributions will be proposed for extended publication in prestigious international journals, including the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, the International Journal of Exergy and Energy Storage.
Over the years, ICH2P and IEEES conferences have been hosted in countries such as Australia, Canada, China, France, Italy, Japan, China, Italy and the United Arab Emirates. The choice of Craiova for the 2025 edition marks a recognition of the increasingly important role that Romanian academia is playing in frontier areas for the European energy transition, such as hydrogen development and decarbonization solutions.
