CNR-CME launches the European Centre for Excellence in the field of unconventional gas

[one_half]On Friday, November 15 Friday, Romanian National Committee of World Energy Council (CNR-CME) will hold a press event for the presentation of CENTGAS, the European Centre for Excellence in the field of natural gas from gas-bearing clays. The event will occasion the presentation of a research paper by CENTGAS on the potential of unconventional gas, and the exposure of European and international context regarding the exploitation of unconventional energy resources.

From the findings of the study can benefit the Romanian authorities with responsibilities in the energy field (ministries, NAMR, ANRE), environmental NGOs, service providers, Upstream companies, political parties or academics and universities.Moreover, one of the objectives is to propose and establish a framework of measures or an action plan by all stakeholders in order to start as soon as possible the exploration of the gas-bearing clays and to established their commercial value.

Discussions and debates occasioned by this event will revolve around major themes of exploration and exploitation of unconventional gas resources in an intelligent manner. [/one_half][one_half_last]Deposits of shale gas, tight gas or coal-bed gas deserves the full attention of both the business and research communities.

Therefore, RNC-WEC has proposed to make a full statement of the techniques and technologies put at work without getting rid of on the social, historical and environmental impact, the energy policy the and economic development of Romania, keeping in mind the national and international regulations that must rule the whole operation.
