Carmen Neagu, the new CEO of GSP Power

GSP Power, the new energy division of Grup Servicii Petroliere, a company controlled by businessman Gabriel Comănescu, is run now by Carmen Neagu, a person with extensive experience in energy.

Carmen Neagu was chosen by Comanescu to lead GSP Power, according to some sources in the energy market. Carmen Neagu confirmed the information, according to e-nergia.ro.

Carmen Neagu has extensive experience in energy. A graduate of the Faculty of Energy of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 1982, in recent years she has held several management positions in companies in the sector. She was a director at Termoelectrica, later at Electrocentrale București, then a director for Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova of the American company General Electric (GE Energy), then a member (and chairman) of the Supervisory Board of Transelectrica. From February 2016 until this summer, when she arrived at GSP, she was CEO of Energobit, a well-known Romanian service company for the energy industry.

GSP Power, which deals with energy projects, is the newest division of GSP, the conglomerate owned by Comanescu, whose main activity is offshore oil operations and services for the oil industry.
