ACE Industrial Software Solutions is Aveva distributor for Romania, Bulgaria and Greece. “Although we are a new presence in Romania, we cannot consider ourselves an inexperienced company, as our colleagues in Serbia, from Automatic Control Engineering, have over 20 years of experience working with Wonderware products. Together we are an authorized support and training center for Aveva products, as InTouch, System Platform and Citect, well know products for Romanian market”, said Liviu Drăgoi, Sales Manager of ACE Industrial Software Solutions, at the conference “Digitalization and Energy Efficiency in Industry – Iasi”, organized by Energynomics.

Aveva is one of the leaders in the industrial software segment, a global company with over 4,000 employees and more than 30 offices worldwide. Aveva products are used in industries such as oil and gas, energy or water utilities, in various industries such as food & beverages.

“We are in a world that is constantly changing and even faster during this period, in a world where the trend of urbanization is growing exponentially, and it is increasingly difficult for local authorities to prioritize investment, as infrastructure ages and preferences the population are changing, whether we are talking about transport or consumption. In our vocabulary, words such as safety, security, sustainability, durability have appeared more and more often. The workforce is also changing its profile. New notions have emerged, such as cloud, IoT, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality. All these technological trends have the role to lead us in one direction more important the others: efficiency”, said Drăgoi.

Smart cities have specific traits and objectives: optimized traffic, with low congestion, rapid reactions in emergencies and optimized land use. Energy and water production facilities need to be safer, more sustainable.

“All this is done by different companies, with different solutions. What Aveva proposes is a solution installed on top of all monitoring solutions, for each branch. A solution capable of taking data from various vendors, centralizing it and contextualizing it for all interested people, who have different roles – for example, a city manager will only be interested in some aspects. Thus, the usage data on each transport line in consumption are correlated with the receipts, the operational data are aggregated with the financial ones, etc. Also in the case of lighting, office buildings, energy production units, water treatment plants, Aveva can offer information aggregation solutions, regardless of the platforms used”, Drăgoi added.

Such solutions are managed by Aveva through systems installed worldwide, from Barcelona to India, contributing to increased implementation efficiency by up to 80% and operational efficiency by up to 40%.

“Such solutions can also be used by power, natural gas, water distribution networks, or even in industry as our portfolio is very wide”, added Drăgoi.
