Atu Tech (a2t.ro), online store of security products and Romanian importer of security equipment, has allocated, in 2023, investments of over 1 million euros in the development of the newest category of products in the portfolio, photovoltaic systems. The company thus triples its initial investments in the category and estimates that 15% of sales in 2023 will be generated by photovoltaic panels, complementary products and accessories.

Although it introduced these types of products in the portfolio only at the beginning of 2022, Atu Tech closed 2022 with a share of almost 10% in sales generated by photovoltaic systems, this product category having one of the most accelerated developments in the company’s history.

Investments in the new range take place in the context of increasing demand for photovoltaic systems, both for complete off-grid or on-grid systems, as well as for installation equipment and accessories.

“We chose to make such an investment as a result of the high demand for photovoltaic systems. If, at the end of 2022, we had approximately 250 landmarks listed, currently we have diversified the offer, and we offer more than 600 products that cover as wide a spectrum as possible. In addition, this year, we also focused on the mounting structure of photovoltaic panels and brought equipment that makes the work of installers easier. Using these equipments, our collaborators make the installation time more efficient by up to 40%,” says Sorin Felea, director of Atu Tech.

“Furthermore, we have renegotiated shipping charges and managed to deliver products 20% cheaper than in 2022. We offer palletized delivery at a very good cost and in a very short time for products in stock. And with the improvement of logistics, we also offer panels by the piece, buyers can now purchase the exact number of panels for their projects.”

As for systems purchased by individual users, the best sellers are complete systems with an installed power of 5-8 KW, with mounting included, as a rule, on the roof of buildings. Also, products from well-known brands sell best and have a competitive price that reaches, on average, approximately 1,000 – 1,200 euro/ KW installed.

For the business segment, as a rule, equipment is purchased for large projects, for factories or photovoltaic parks. High-quality products are in demand, offering all the necessary specifications, with larger photovoltaic panels being preferred, such as the 545W and 655W ones.
