The Parliament’s plenary rejected the proposals for the appointment of a vice president in the person of Rodin Traicu and two members of the Regulatory Committee – Mihai Albulescu and Florin Claudiu Roman, to the management of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy – ANRE.

The reason was that the specialty Commission’s report came from the old legislature. At the same time, the report of the joint Economic and Industry and services commissions shows that there are proposed persons for the mentioned positions that have withdrawn, PSD Group leader Marcel Ciolacu reported, according to investenergy.ro.

Ciolacu announced that the Joint Standing Bureau has triggered and approved a new procedure for filling vacant posts.

In addition to the three vacant positions, in October 2017, the mandates of president Niculae Havrilet and vice president Emil Calota, as well as of other two members of the Regulatory Committee, expire.

As a result, Parliament must appoint the entire senior management team of ANRE in the coming period.

For two years, ANRE has been operating with a management and a Regulatory Committee in an incomplete formula, the appointments of a second vice-president and two members of the Committee being abandoned in Parliament, despite numerous hearings.
