The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) announces the registration, for the first time in Romania, of the first two energy communities in the National Register of Energy Communities (RNCE).

“ANRE announces the registration, in the National Register of Energy Communities, of the first Renewable Energy Community (CESR), the Port Community Association, in accordance with the provisions of the Order of the President of ANRE no. 50/2026”, reads a post on the Authority’s Facebook page.

ANRE also recalls the recent registration in the National Register of Energy Communities and of the first Citizens’ Energy Community (CEC), the Micăsasa Coop Energy Cooperative Society from Sibiu County.

The registration of the two communities marks the effective operationalization of the RNCE and represents an important step in the development, at national level, of this new model of active participation of citizens and local actors in the energy market.

ANRE encourages interested citizens and eligible entities to develop and register energy communities, thus contributing to increasing active consumer participation and developing local energy production.

The National Registry of Energy Communities is an instrument managed by ANRE created to register and operationalize energy communities in Romania. The RNCE provides the formal framework for citizens, SMEs and local authorities to produce, consume, store and sell renewable energy at local level.
