ANRE designates the winner of the tender for the new platform for changing suppliers

Romanian energy market regulatory body, ANRE, announced the completion of the public procurement procedure for awarding the service contract for the development and implementation of an “Online platform for changing the electricity and natural gas supplier at national level (POSF)”, the institution announced.

Thus, the National Energy Regulatory Authority has completed the online open public procurement tender procedure for the award of the contract for the new platform, won by Metaminds S.R.L. The contract was signed on 28.09.2021, by the president of ANRE – Dumitru Chiriță and the general manager of Metaminds – Andrei Cruceru. The duration of the contract is of 11 months and has a value of about 10.85 million lei, without VAT.

The national electricity and natural gas supplier change platform (POSF) is needed to meet the overall objective of the project “Developing the institutional capacity of the National Energy Regulatory Authority to simplify the process of changing the electricity and natural gas suppliers”.

Thus, the adoption of measures to simplify administrative procedures for all consumers involved in the process of changing the electricity and gas supplier by implementing an intuitive and innovative IT solution, will lead to the interoperability of data on changing the supplier in terms of format, as well as the reduction of the current term of 21 days in order to meet the new European requirements which provide that by 2026 the technical process of changing the supplier to be completed in 24 hours.

The project is co-financed in proportion of 98% of the European Social Fund, through POCA 2014 – 2020, and the total value of the project is of about 19.9 million lei.
