The staff within ANRE, ASF and ANCOM will benefit from an annual competitiveness index used to determine the basic salary, according to the updated draft of the new salary law, published on Friday by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity (MMFTSS).
“The staff of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE), the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF) and the National Authority for Administration and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) assigned to the positions provided for in Annex VII, Chapter II to this law benefit from a competitiveness index. The competitiveness index is applied to determine the basic salary, by multiplying it by the reference value and by the salary coefficient corresponding to the position. The increase in the basic salary resulting from the application of the competitiveness index is temporary, until the new competitiveness index is determined,” the document states, according to Agerpres.
The value of the competitiveness index is at least 1 and cannot be greater than 2, the cited source notes.
“The expected competitiveness index is established annually, by November 30 of each year for the following year, by a Government decision, initiated by the Ministry of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Protection and the Ministry of Finance, at the proposal of the National Institute of Statistics, which will be communicated to the two ministries by August 30 of each year, for the following year,” the document also states.
The proposal of the National Institute of Statistics will be based on data on the average gross salary in payment in the areas in which the three authorities operate, related to the first semester of the current year.
Party representatives and the interim Minister of Labor, Dragoș Pîslaru, discussed on Friday, at the Cotroceni Palace, on the topic of the salary law, which is a milestone of the PNRR. The discussion was coordinated by presidential advisor Radu Burnete, the Presidential Administration informed.
The project can reach a maximum value of 7.3% of GDP and a wage bill of 12.1 billion lei, announced Dragoș Pîslaru after the meeting at Cotroceni Palace.
