The National Energy Regulatory Authority has approved the establishment of new energy capacities with a total installed capacity of over 138 MW, according to a statement. The largest approved project, of 131 MW, belongs to Ecoenergy, say sources contacted by Energynomics.

The total investment from Răteşti will reach approximately 120 million euro. Portland Trust Renewables 1 SRL, which sold the project to Ecoenergy and Nofar Energy, has obtained in December 2020 the technical approval for the connection from the grid from Transelectrica for the 131.25 MW solar park in Argeş, a park that will be ready in 2022.

“Most likely, we will see several hundred MW installed in photovoltaic parks by the end of the year,” sources said.

“In the meeting of the ANRE Regulatory Committee on 09.02.2022, the following were discussed and approved: granting the Establishment Authorization No. 1198 to the economic operator Ratesti Solar Plant SRL for the completion of the new energy capacity ‘Răteşti Photovoltaic Power Plant’, with the maximum electric power of 131.25 MW, which will be located in Răteşti commune, Ciupa-Mănciulescu village, Argeş county; granting the Establishment Authorization No. 1199 to the economic operator Inspire Parc Solar SRL, for the completion of the new energy capacity Dobresti, with the maximum debited electricity of 2.963 MW, which will be located in Dobreşti commune, Căciulăteşti village, Dolj county; granting the Authorization of establishment No. 1200 to the economic operator Fravort SRL for a 4.363 MW unit, which will be located in Roşiorii and de Vede, Teleorman County,” it is mentioned in an ANRE release.

The granting authorizations will contribute, after the commissioning of the energy capacities, to the increase of the electric power installed in the National Energy System.

Also, the installation of new efficient production capacities will significantly contribute to the reduction of dependence on imports, increase the competitiveness on the domestic wholesale electricity market and finally will lead to the reduction of the price to the final consumer.
