Agista, an investment fund dedicated to SMEs, part of Impetum Group, acquires a 15% stake in the Romanian companBy Eplus Smart Energy (Eplus), which provides energy management services.

Services range from reading electricity and gas meters, analyzing and streamlining data to implementing smart metering projects, complemented by industrial process automation and digitization solutions, and solutions for increasing energy efficiency for all types of customers.

“Eplus Smart Energy is a Romanian company that has grown organically in the domestic and non-domestic energy services market and has proven to be a robust business in an increasingly competitive market. Agista decided to invest in Eplus Smart Energy because the company develops solutions for efficient and responsible management of energy consumption at the highest standards, an economic goal necessary especially in the current context when the importance of environmental protection and sustainability commits the world’s countries and companies to a circular economy. Through the invested ticket, Agista acts as an anchor investor, thus validating the potential of sustainable energy and the projects that the company intends to develop in the direction of reducing the carbon footprint in the Romanian energy sector,” said Nicolae Kovacs, CEO, Agista.

“We are pleased to see the partnership with Agista materialized and I am convinced that together we will continue to develop solutions and services dedicated to Romanian companies and consumers, through which they have the opportunity to become more energy efficient. We are ready to be with our customers in their transformation process, in the current context in which the emphasis is on sustainability and digitalization. We aim to provide our customers with more resources and more time to focus on developing their own business, which is why we consider ourselves a partner of our customers with whom we join forces and have common development goals, ”added Frank Hajdinjak, CEO, Eplus Smart Energy.

Recently launched, Agista is the first licensed investment fund in Romania, with a focus on the AeRO market, which supports local SMEs to be listed on the stock exchange, finances and accelerates their growth through the capital market.

In 2021, the Eplus group achieved a turnover of approximately 80 million lei, increasing by 31% compared to 2020, due to the developed projects. The EPLUS group also includes 3 other companies, Eplus Automation, Eplus Laboratory and Eplus Smart Energy.
