Gazprom operations in Belarus and Ukraine were not affected by the political crisis in Ukraine, said Gazprom`s CFO, Andrei Kruglov, who added that there are no problems with the transit of Russian gas to Europe, according to Reuters.
„The situation in Ukraine did not affect our business in Ukraine or Belarus. I do not see any problems with gas transit at the moment and hopefully we will not see any”, Kruglov said in a press conference in Minsk.
Also, Kruglov said that Gazprom`s financial plans for 2014 remain unchanged , despite the crisis in Ukraine.
In December last year, the Russian group Gazprom board of directors approved the investment program for 2014. This program includes investments of 806 billion rubles (USD 25 billion), lower than the 1,030 billion rubles allocated for this purpose in 2013, quotes Agerpres.
Capital expenditures for 2014 are estimated at 701.11 billion rubles, plus long-term investments of 104.89 billion rubles.
Total revenue from operations and investment activities would rise next year to 5,552 billion rubles, while spending will rise to 5,651 billion rubles, and loans to 90 billion rubles, resulting in a net surplus of 500 million rubles.
Gazprom provides about a third of Europe`s gas and half of these supplies pass through Ukraine.
Last year, the group has delivered to Europe an amount of 162.7 billion cubic meters via Ukraine, Belarus and Turkey.
