The partnership concluded at the beginning of 2020 by Mercedes-Benz and ENGIE, companies whose strategies focus on the importance of electric mobility and sustainability, continues in the second half of the year with a new benefit for Romanian customers: the Elvi EVBox charging station offered as a gift when purchasing an electric car Mercedes-Benz EQC.

Moreover, EQC customers can also opt for a subscription to e-mobility services, by concluding an ENGIE contract for the supply of electricity from renewable sources. This service provides technical assistance from the ENGIE team, online monitoring for uploads and access to a national e-charge network.

Produced by EVBox, a company owned by ENGIE, Elvi EVBox Wi-Fi is a 22 kW station dedicated to home use.

“We are witnessing a major transition to a sustainable future of mobility and the Mercedes-Benz EQC was a first step in this transformation. Through the partnership with ENGIE Romania, with which we share the same vision for sustainability, we take another step in this direction by welcoming our customers with a charging station that will become the norm for most homes in the coming years. Because the future belongs to electric mobility,” said Martin Schulz, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Romania.

The Mercedes-Benz EQC has a range of up to 414 km (WLTP).

“Together with our partner Mercedes-Benz, we give customers the opportunity to opt for various products that contribute to an all-green electric mobility experience. In this way, we respond to the growing appetite of a category of consumers who want to adopt environmentally friendly products with a low CO2 footprint,” said Nicolas Richard, deputy general manager and marketing & sales director of ENGIE Romania.
