We continue our presentation of the Energynomics Awards nominees with the “Young Energy Professional of the Year” section. This category highlights outstanding professionals of the new generation who are already making their mark in key areas: systems operation, digitalization, renewable energy integration, flexibility, and strategic planning. In 2025, the candidates illustrate through concrete results the evolution of a generation ready to take on major responsibilities in a sector undergoing rapid transformation. Only one of the proposals will be rewarded with an award at the Gala on December 4, but all nominations are relevant and deserving.
Anamaria Iamandi – Rețele Electrice România
Anamaria Iamandi leads the Operational Analysis Service for the Muntenia area, coordinating interruption management, SAIDI/SAIFI performance, power quality assessments and the technical certification of generation units in categories B, C and D. Her work strengthens grid reliability, regulatory compliance and the smooth integration of new producers.
She previously spent eight years at Transelectrica specialising in protection, control and teleprotection on the 400–220 kV grid, contributing to major EU projects such as CROSSBOW, INTERRFACE and CARMEN. With a PhD in Systems Engineering, over 20 scientific publications and recognised expertise in digital substations and synchrophasor systems, she also teaches “Classical and Numerical Protection Systems” at POLITEHNICA. Internationally, she represents Romania in CIGRE NGN and served as Poster Session Chair at CIGRE Paris 2024.
Claudia Candale – Transelectrica
A rapidly advancing engineer in the transmission sector, Claudia Candale manages Transelectrica’s Ten-Year Network Development Plan and oversees the new grid-capacity allocation platform introduced under ANRE’s updated connection rules. Her background in electrical engineering, complemented by an MBA and energy-efficiency certifications, supports her work in planning, network modernisation and innovation. She also acts as the company’s energy manager, contributing to a modern and forward-looking approach to transmission-system development.
Eduard Meiloiu – Enevo Group
Eduard Meiloiu exemplifies one of the fastest career trajectories in Romania’s renewable-energy sector. He joined Enevo as a student intern and advanced from protection engineer to international project coordinator and now Executive Director of the Renewables Division. At just 31, he leads a business approaching EUR 100 million and a team of nearly 90 specialists. His technical depth, leadership maturity and ability to scale complex EPC operations position him among the most influential young leaders in Romania’s green-energy industry.
Elena Papacea – Alive Capital
As Forecast & Scheduling Manager at Alive Capital, Elena Papacea plays a central role in improving forecasting accuracy and operational performance for renewable producers. With strong technical training and rapid professional development, she contributes to data-driven integration of green capacity, portfolio optimisation and precise operational scheduling across Romania’s power market.
Olivian Savin – Nano Energies Romania
Country Manager for one of Romania’s first independent flexibility aggregators, Olivian Savin combines a PhD in energy engineering with international experience gained at EDF. As Executive Director of Future Energy Leaders Romania and member of the Global FEL network, he contributes actively to developing future leaders in the energy sector. In 2025 he was appointed Young Energy Ambassador to the European Commission, representing Romania on flexibility and energy-security topics. Included in Forbes 30 Under 30, he stands out already with a comprehensive professional profile.
