Bistrita-based electrical systems integrator Datacor and Cluj-Napoca-based energy contractor Parapet Renewable were given the chance to connect with investors, strategic partners and leaders of the UK business ecosystem at the London Stock Exchange (LSE), writes Transilvania Business.

MoonShotX – London Orbit brings together innovative companies from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) that are in the process of expanding into the UK market. It is a context in which innovation, technology and access to capital create opportunities for development and collaboration.
The event brings together business leaders, investors, strategic partners and companies from fields such as technology, energy, AI, infrastructure, finance and industry, facilitating dialogues for new growth directions.
At MoonShotX – London Orbit, selected companies from Romania explore, on this occasion, new collaboration opportunities on the British market.
This summer, Datacor Green Energy completed the SQ7 Orăștie photovoltaic project, carried out at M Park Orăștie, which includes a photovoltaic system with a power of 181 kWp and an electrical infrastructure ready for expansion to 400 kW.
Last year, Datacor won a 12 million euro European project, through the RePowerEU component, for the installation of 1,000 photovoltaic and storage systems for 1,000 energy-vulnerable households, by 2026.
The project, financed by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Ministry of Investments and European Projects, contributes to increasing the use of renewable energy and supporting a sustainable energy transition in Romania.
Datacor recorded business of 85 million lei in 2025, with a net profit of 8.5 million, with 165 employees, according to Listă Firme. The partners were Bilegan Bogdan (75%) and Cristian (25%). The group also includes Datacor Distribution, Datacor Energy Production, Datacor Real Estate.
Scotland, Parapet’s international step
“For Parapet, the UK is more than just another market. It is where our international story began, with a 5 MW photovoltaic project in Scotland, which marked the company’s first steps beyond the borders of Romania. Today we return with a different perspective. From a team involved in a photovoltaic project, we have become an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor active at European level, with 2 GW of installed capacity and operations in Romania, Germany and Italy. The visit to London offered us an excellent opportunity to consolidate our international presence, to interact with investors, representatives of local authorities and entrepreneurs within the MoonShotX program. One of the important moments of this stage was the presentation of our development plans from the LSE podium, where we shared Parapet’s vision regarding the expansion of renewable infrastructure at European level. Previously, Parapet exhibits at Intersolar Europe (Munich – Germany), the largest fair dedicated to green energy. Each edition represented the development of the company’s expertise, technologies and services, from photovoltaic and wind projects to energy storage systems, to support the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure at European level.
The company based in Cluj Innovation Park has appointed a new CEO, Roxana Gureanu, whose mission is to manage 1 GW projects. Parapet Renewable has many contracted works in Germany, Italy, Romania – photovoltaic parks, wind turbines.
Chairman Andrada Moldovan owns 99% of the company. In 2026, Parapet has a contracted portfolio of 1 GW in photovoltaic, wind and energy storage projects. In Romania, it is developing projects of 410 MWh in storage, 700 MW of photovoltaic and wind installations.
Parapet is an EPC contractor for photovoltaic, wind projects and delivers fully integrated engineering, procurement and construction services, with offices in Romania, Germany, Italy and a portfolio of 450 projects.
