Tema Energy, the main data center integrator in Romania, recorded a turnover of over 23 million euros in 2025, up 15% compared to the previous financial year. The performance confirms the company’s upward trajectory and reflects the accelerated dynamics of the local data center market, supported by both government investments and significant expansions by private operators.
The Data Center division generated approximately 60% of revenues, with the rest coming from the Mission-Critical Infrastructure, Software and, respectively, Services & Maintenance segments. The customer portfolio remains balanced between the public and private sectors, with approximately equal shares.
The advance in 2025 was generated by several converging factors. The Romanian data center market continued to expand, supported by consistent government sector investments in digital infrastructure. A significant contributor was the railway infrastructure projects, where Tema Energy delivered command centers integrating data centers, complex installations, command software and communication systems. At the same time, the company completed extensions and modernizations of Vodafone data centers in Cluj and Brașov, as well as GTS Cluj, and implemented mission-critical systems for the new Gas Power Plant in Mintia. The growth was also supported by an expansion of the operational capacity: over 15 specialists were recruited during the year, and the team strengthened its expertise by participating in over 30 trainings and training programs in advanced skills: design, integration, commissioning and service.
“The year 2025 was a year of constant growth for the company, both as a team and as an activity, which was directly reflected in revenues and profitability. Market demand was consistent, supported by investments in data centers in the government sector, as well as in colocation & telecom. A distinctive note of the year was the signing of the first AI Factory projects — a premiere for the Romanian data center market —, which we are already implementing this year,” says Mihai Manole, Managing Partner, Tema Energy.
For 2026, Tema Energy expects a 20% increase in turnover, aiming to exceed the 30 million euro threshold. In the long term, the company aims to reach a volume of at least 50 million euro by 2030. The company has already signed pre-orders, both for new projects and for a significant increase in installed power in existing facilities.
“All established operators in Romania have planned investments in new capacities for 2026–2027, as well as significant expansions of existing data centers, amid an accelerating demand for services. All these investments include a dedicated AI-ready component or are hybrid projects, capable of hosting both classic cloud and colocation services, as well as energy-intensive applications — HPC and AI. This year, we are implementing AI Factory-type projects with racks with a minimum load of 40–60 kW, and at the same time, we are designing the first “next-generation” AI datacenters with powers of 130 – 150 kW per rack, with DLC (direct liquid cooling) technology.” Romania is thus entering the era of locally processed artificial intelligence, through relatively small, but technologically state-of-the-art data centers,” adds Mihai Manole. To support this development, Tema Energy aims to double its current team, with a focus on engineers, technicians, automation specialists, project managers and designers. For 2026, the company has already budgeted a tripling of investments in training and professional development, with the aim of having the most experienced and advanced design & build team for data centers in Romania and consolidating its position as a reference integrator on the local market.
