The profits of SNN Nuclearelectrica and Romgaz recorded major increases in the first half of this year (H1), by 217% and 127% respectively, while the net profit of the network operator Transelectrica suffered a decrease of 73%, the companies reported to the stock exchange (BVB).

Romgaz’s net profit increased by 126%, to 964 million lei, against the background of the tripling of total revenues, to 7.6 billion lei (increase by 236%, compared to the previous value of 2.26 billion lei).

At the same time, BVB announced a rolling in the management of Romgaz – the provisional terms of 4 months being extended, but with Răzvan Popescu in the position of general director, Aristotel Jude taking over the second position. At the same time, Andrei Bobar was appointed Economic Director, replacing Răzvan Popescu. The mandates begin on August 17 and end on December 17, 2022.

Also, the decrease in Transelectrica’s profit was determined by the increase in the average price of energy purchased on PZU, which tripled compared to the previous year. Net expenditures with own technological consumption (CPT) advanced by 258 million lei, being 156% higher than in S1 2021.

Thus, the net profit resulting from the average of operations with allowed profit and with zero profit decreased by 73%, despite the increase of total operating revenues by 83%.

Nuclearelectrica (SNN) announced to the BVB a net profit of 1.22 billion lei, up 216.8% compared to the same period last year. EBITDA marked an increase of 133.1% compared to H1 2021, with revenues from the sale of electricity being 130.6% higher.
