59 future electricians coming from vocational and technological high schools in Gorj County built the first smart electric mobility station in Brasov. E-lectron is the first such station for eco transport in Braşov – trots, bikes or other electrical devices, and it is available to the public in Braşov, in Coresi Shopping Resort, for free use by locals and tourists. The project was carried out under the guidance of the initiators of the project EFdeN, Claudiu Butacu and Mihai Toader-Pasti, with the support of OMV Petrom, at the Craftsmen Camp with Andrei’s Country.

During the camp week, the 59 students took part in personal and professional development courses to prepare for their future professional career in the areas they are studying. The personal development workshops were coordinated by the New Horizons Foundation trainers, who helped future craftspeople learn more about communication, entrepreneurship and employability. Future electricians worked for three days and built the entire electrical component: electrical circuits, photovoltaic panels, sockets, lighting fixtures. The E-lectron station is equipped with photovoltaic panels, 8 sockets for charging devices and a DJ desk.

As in every Camp week in the past, at the end, the most skilled 10 future craftsmen of the series were selected; they will receive a scholarship worth 500 lei per month during the school year 2018-2019. At the same time, the 10 teachers present in the series dedicated to electricians participated in project writing and project management courses. In September, the best projects proposed by the teachers participating in the 2018 Crafts Camp will receive funding for implementation worth a total of 40,000 euros.
