Simtel Team, a Romanian technology company listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), specializing mainly in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), as well as operation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants, has signed two contracts for the construction of as many electricity storage systems, with a total capacity of 176 MWh, for customers benefiting from EU state subsidies through the NRRP.

Both are EPC contracts and have a total value of approximately 187.4 million lei plus VAT, according to Profit.ro. Simtel Team characterizes them as “significant”, their individual value exceeding 10% of the company’s total revenue, according to the latest annual financial statements. The contracts provide for the supply of 2 battery energy storage systems (BESS), as well as their design, construction, installation, commissioning, completion and testing, in the commune of Sânpaul, Mureș county, as well as training activities. One of the systems will have a maximum power of 40 MW and a storage capacity of maximum 80 MWh (2h), the EPC contract being worth 86.4 million lei, and the other – a maximum power of 48 MW and a storage capacity of maximum 96 MWh (2h), with a contract worth 101.04 million lei. The two beneficiary companies obtained state support for projects of 4.27 million euros (HQ Plus), respectively 4.93 million euros (HQ Curat), through the storage component of the NRRP. The duration of the contracts concluded by Simtel Team with the 2 companies is 9 months from the signing.
