In the Svidnik perimeter, the last one in which Romgaz has a stake in Slovakia, the Romanian company owns 33% of the rights, the operator being Alpine Oil&Gas plc.

„In 2018, the JKX partner withdrew, and following its withdrawal, Romgaz took an additional share of 8.33%. Also in 2018 Romgaz renounced to the Snina and Medzilaborce perimeters and reduced the perimeter Svidnik to the surface of 36.4 km². In 2018, only works of seismic interpretation, geological works were performed to a small extent, and for the rest there were only general and administrative expenses for this project,” Romgaz reports.

Last year, Romgaz spent only 291,000 lei on the development of this sole perimeter, where it is still involved in Slovakia, that is, only 7% of the 3.9 million lei originally budgeted.
