Colosseum Mall, in partnership with Renovatio, a company that owns a company specializing in EPC solutions for photovoltaic projects, will install a 1MWp photovoltaic system, thus contributing to the reduction of 360 tons per year of carbon dioxide emissions, a quantity which could be absorbed by a forest of over 4,000 trees.

The photovoltaic panels will be placed both on the roof of the shopping center and in the parking lot, on carport type structures. The surface covered by photovoltaic panels will be of approximately 9,000 sqm, and the installed capacity will be able to produce approximately 1,315 MWh/year.

The investment in this project will exceed 1 million euro and will be provided by Renovatio, based on a long-term strategic partnership with Colosseum Mall.

“Reducing CO2 emissions must be a major concern of all economic operators today and not only, especially in big cities. Our partnership with Renovatio is a very important step, as we can thus contribute to the protection of the environment responsibly, by substantial reduction in electricity consumption,” said Mihai Dinu, general manager of the Colosseum Mall.

“Renovatio has come up with a new business model for the Romanian market and invests in photovoltaic systems on the roof of customers, which it builds, operates and maintains, benefiting from the green energy produced by the photovoltaic system, within a long-term partnership. We are happy to support the business environment, setting sustainability at the forefront, and working with companies that demonstrate care for the environment by choosing Renovatio solutions.

In Romania, the roof of buildings is untapped, and we want to help companies streamline the consumption of electricity, by contributing green energy from photovoltaic systems, in their own consumption. Now any company has the possibility to streamline its energy consumption,” says Horaţiu Regneală, CEO Renovatio Solar.

For the photovoltaic system to be installed at the Colosseum, state-of-the-art panels and inverters will be used. The equipment and technologies used by Renovatio in the project have high performance and reliability, coming from important suppliers on the world photovoltaic systems market.
