AHK Romania reaffirmed its role as an active and strong voice of the Romanian-German economy within the General Assembly of members, continuing to advocate for a stable framework of economic policies, the improvement of the financial credibility of the Romanian state and the competitive development of Romania.
Regarding the current political and economic situation, the president of AHK Romania, Volker Raffel, stated that the organization will collaborate with any new government and will continue to strongly support the economic development of the country.
“The creditworthiness of the Romanian state must be improved, and for this, not only fiscal measures are needed, but also the reduction of bureaucracy and the modernization of the public administration. The objective is to strengthen the confidence of investors that Romania is a safe location for investments and to limit the risks for economic development,” said Raffel.
For his part, the general director of AHK Romania, Sebastian Metz, highlighted the strength of the Romanian-German business community, which brings together companies from the most diverse industries. There is now a solid network for exchange of experience, cooperation and joint involvement, capable of formulating various positions and initiating dialogue with policy makers and public administration. “We are a strong and professional community, which wants to contribute to the development of Romania and to the consolidation of Romanian-German economic relations”, emphasized Metz.
On this occasion, the General Assembly elected new members to the Board of Directors: Robert Feulner (Andreas Stihl Power Tools SRL), Nick Stirban (Rheinmetall Automecanica SRL), Jennifer Gilberg (Bayer SRL) and Marcel Wiesenhoff (Banat Framing SRL).
The current composition of the Board of Directors of AHK Romania consists of: President – Volker Raffel (E.ON Romania), General Director of AHK Romania – Sebastian Metz and Vice Presidents – Petru Rușeț (Siemens Energy Romania) and Dan Lăzărescu (Bosch Romania).
Members of the CD are Ottmar Lotz (Agrarius AG), Nikolaus Eichert (wpd Romania), Mihai Marinescu (Knauf Gips), Olga Drăguinea (Lidl Romania), Moritz von Mecklenburg (SRT Silvirom Timber GmbH), Robert Feulner (Andreas Stihl Power Tools SRL), Nick Stirban (Rheinmetall Automecanica SRL), Jennifer Gilberg (Bayer SRL) and Marcel Wiesenhoff (Banat Framing SRL).
The Romanian-German business community brings together over 700 members, with approximately 240,000 employees in companies with German capital, active in over 150 economic sectors. At the same time, AHK Romania, as a strong business community, combines networking, representing interests and offering services for companies.
