Petrom’s total hydrocarbons production declined by 5.5% in the first quarter

Petrom’s total hydrocarbon production was 153 thousand boe/ d in the first quarter of this year, compared with 162 thousand boe/ d in the same period last year, marking a decrease of 5.5%, according to a report sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

As a result, crude oil and condensate production fell to 71 thousand boe/ day on March 31, compared to 73 thousand boe/ day at the end of the first three months of 2018, and gas production dropped to 82 thousand boe/ day compared to 89 thousand boe/ day, according to financialintelligence.ro. Total sales of hydrocarbons were 12.8 million boe, down from 13.5 million boe.

The company shows that the average crude oil price in the first quarter was USD 55.66 / bbl. The average Brent price was 63.13 USD / bbl, and the average Ural price was 63.42 USD / bbl. Gas sales to third parties amounted to 9.79 TWh in the first quarter versus 12.13 TWh in the similar period in 2018, and net electricity production was 1.08 TWh versus 0.89 TWh.
