Valmont Industries is an American company, a leader in the market segments where it operates, said Petre Ciobanu, Key Account Manager Europe and Eurasia, Valmont, at the conference „Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Brașov 2022”, organized by Energynomics.

“We position ourselves as a manufacturer of irrigation machines, poles and structures. In all business areas in which we operate we are market leaders. We operate under four values – we operate with passion, with absolute integrity, and we tend to constantly improve the activities we carry out to deliver results. We started this business in 1946 and since then we have been developing on different market and production segments”, Petre Ciobanu also said.

“We have been conserving resources for 75 years, improving manufacturing and production processes and bringing innovative products to market to support green energy. At the moment, we have a turnover of 3.5 billion dollars globally. We operate on six continents and have 27 distinct brands and over 10,000 employees. We operate in four business segments, in 22 countries we have production units and in more than 80 countries we have partner production units. In 2002 the turnover was 2.9 billion dollars, but last year was an exceptional one. Things have changed, especially following that we have positioned ourselves on the market as a green, sustainable manufacturer, which increased our sales,” he added.

Two of Valmont’s four divisions are more relevant from an energy perspective. The Structures Division offers intelligent lighting solutions. “Our engineered solutions have established us as a leading industry partner in delivering the infrastructure needed to reliably address the needs of an ever-advancing world,” said Petre Ciobanu. The Utility Division contributes to increased resilience for energy grids by enabling the delivery of reliable, clean and efficient energy from the source to end-user.

The conference „Digitalization and Energy Efficiency – Brașov 2022” was organized by Energynomics with the support of our partners ABB România, Enel X, ENGIE România, Flash Lighting Services, Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe, Valmont.
