Iranian forces on Sunday prevented two oil tankers from passing through the Strait of Hormuz after issuing warnings, the semi-official Tasnim news agency in Tehran reported, quoted by Reuters, according to RRA.
The Iranians claimed that they stopped the passage of the two ships, as the Americans continue to blockade Iranian ports.
The ships, sailing under the flags of Botswana and Angola, were forced to change course, as a result of what the Iranians called unauthorized transit of the Strait of Hormuz.
The BBC reported that traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has reached virtually zero, as Iran and the United States impose blockades on each other’s shipping.
There are three days left in the truce agreed by the two countries.
