The modernization works of the heating system on the construction site opened in the Olteniței Road – Constantin Brâncoveanu Bd. area are on schedule, while at the moment four large construction sites are open in the Capital for the rehabilitation of the heating network over a total length of approximately 44 km, said Bucharest’s mayor, Nicușor Dan.

“So far, 1.6 km of pipelines have been replaced, of which 650 m have already been put into operation. These works are related to Objective 5 – Progresu Berceni Highway, with a total length of 7.8 km. Works were started in May of this year and are being executed by the Erbașu Construction Association and Consix Construction SRL,” Nicușor Dan wrote on Facebook.

He claims that the modernization of the pipelines will continue during the cold season, without affecting the supply of hot water and heat for the residents of the area, as maintenance pipes will be installed and only the connections that consist of smaller pipes will be replaced.

The execution period for the works related to Objective 5 is of 12 months, and the value of the investment is of 33 million lei without VAT.

“At this moment, we have 4 large construction sites open in the Capital for the rehabilitation of the heating network over a total length of approximately 44 km, in areas such as Bd. Iancu de Hunedoara, Calea Ferentari, Șoseaua Pantelimon, Bd. Constantin Brâncoveanu,” added the Bucharest City Hall mayor.
