On October 28, from 09:00 Energy Efficiency Watch & OUR BUILDINGS organizes the National Conference “OUR BUILDINGS” to debate on the current instruments for climate neutrality. The conference will take place on the Zoom platform (the link is distributed after registration).

The current pandemic is changing the way we live and has visible effects on the environment. Actions to limit the spread of the epidemic have shown that important measures can be taken in the event of an emergency, and energy experts urge local authorities to use this context in the event of climate change.

Renovation Wave will have a significant impact on cities. The European Commission aims to double the rate of renovations over the next ten years, ensuring that renovations will be efficient in terms of energy consumption and resource use. This framework and the moment created by the pandemic represent opportunities to rethink common local scenarios, to harmonize municipal renovation strategies with climate and energy action plans, to reconsider the sustainability of local communities.

Topics to be addressed

  • What are the first nZEB Renewal Passports in Romania?
  • How do we ensure that renovations and related investments continue despite the pandemic?
  • What procedural changes are needed to overcome existing barriers?
  • Can municipalities and decision-makers adapt to this new situation?
  • What message should the European Union, national and local authorities send?
